AIA recognizes the importance of healthy oceans and contaminant-free lands so Aleut people can continue their traditional lifestyles.

Hunting, fishing, and gathering are key to ensuring the health and well-being of Aleut people and their culture. AIA works with Tribes, regional organizations, state and federal agencies and international partners to assist in establishing good environmental programs and initiatives for the benefit of all Aleuts. The following projects provide some select examples of these programs and initiatives.
